Welcome to Cassiltoun Housing Association

 

Welcome to our website which will provide you with up to date information about the Association, including our regeneration programmes and housing development plans from 2019 onwards.

We are a Scottish Charity and a Social Enterprise with a community controlled Board that are passionate about delivering high quality homes and housing related services but also to play a pivotal role in the social and economic regeneration of Castlemilk.


In 2019 the Association will complete the first stage of our ambitious new build housing development programme at the 3 sites known as “Barlia 3”.  We will complete 42 new build houses and flats by December 2019 at a cost of just over £5m. 

The Association completed our fifth Tenants Charter Return in May 2018.  The Scottish Housing Regulator issued Cassiltoun Housing Association's Landlord Report on the 31st August 2018.  As we anticipated, the report demonstrates a strong performance when compared to the Scottish average performance, based on the previous four years performance and by the continuous improvements being made.  The Association's rent levels benchmark very well and remain comparable with many local and neighbouring housing associations. 

In October 2018 we issued our "Tenants Report Card" to all our tenants and service users.  The Report card provides performance information agreed by the Tenants Charter Scrutiny Panel. 

After a short period under Medium engagement from the Scottish Housing Regulator we were advised in December 2018 that after receiving substantial business planning assurance our engagement status was moved to low.  We are delighted to have provided the SHR with strong evidence of our approach to business planning, risk, governance and development planning.

We will publish the updated stock condition survey in this website.  Looking ahead over the next 5 years, we plan to invest £5.4m in our stock at Barlia Grove, 89-99 Barlia Drive, Barlia Gardens, Croftfoot Terrace, Machrie Road and Street (2019/20).  85-109 Castlemilk Drive, 7-11 Barlia Drive, Ballantay, Hoddam Terrace (2020/21), 5 Apts Castlemilk Drive area, Croftfoot Terrace and Drive and Tormusk (2021/22).  113-137 Barlia Drive and Tormusk (2022/23).  Cavin area, Castlemilk Drive and Barlia Drive (2023/24).
