Welcome to Cassiltoun Housing Association

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our website which will provide you with up to date information about the Association, regeneration, community events, future initiatives and housing development.

The Association continues to deal with fresh challenges in 2018, including being prepared for the roll out of Universal Credit in Castlemilk later this year.  We intend to support our tenants by putting out welfare reform mitigation plans in place to control the risk that Universal Credit may bring.

If you are a tenant of Cassiltoun Housing Association and worried about the changes being introduced by welfare reform, contact our office and arrange to speak to a member of staff who will be happy to help.

2018/19 will see the Association start on ambitious new build housing development programme at the 3 sites known as “Barlia 3”.  We aim to complete 42 new build houses and flats by December 2019 at a cost of just over £5m.  Please refer to our download section for more detailed information on this site and the other sites identified in our development plan.

The Association completed our fourth Tenants Charter Return in May 2017.  The Scottish Housing Regulator issued Cassiltoun Housing Association's Landlord Report on the 31st August 2017.  As we anticipated, the report demonstrates a strong performance when compared to the Scottish average performance, based on the previous three years performance and by the continuous improvements being made.  The Association's rent levels benchmark very well and remain comparable with many local and neighbouring housing associations.  For more information visit the Scottish Housing Regulator website at or to view the report visit our download section.

Furthermore, the Association issued our fourth "Tenants Report Card" to all our tenants and service users at the end of October.  The Report card provides performance information agreed by the Tenants Charter Scrutiny Panel.  Visit our Download Section to read the 2017 report.  The Association is pleased to report that the Scottish Housing Regulator advised the us that our Engagement Level with the Regulator will be Low for the period 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2018.

The Association will continue with our property investment programme in 2017/18.  We are planning to install 243 properties with new PVC double glazed windows, this includes common close windows at our stock in Tormusk and 53-65 Hoddam Avenue at a cost of approximately £800,000.

For detailed information about how Cassiltoun Housing Association manages our business please view our downloads section of this website were our Internal Management/Business Plan and Asset Management Plan may be of interest.

We are a Regeneration Organisation with a wealth of experience operating locally in Castlemilk that does more than housing demonstrated via our social enterprise subsidiary businesses. The information available on our website should demonstrate our diversity. However, if you would like to discuss our work, please do not hesitate to contact us.
